Madeline Heyman

Founder & CEO

As the founder and CEO of Candor Creative, Madeline Heyman brings a unique blend of directorial vision and marketing expertise to every project. Her journey from the DC theater scene to commercial directing laid the foundation for her distinctive approach to brand storytelling. After mastering social media strategy across multiple industries and serving as Marketing Director for a prominent LA law firm, Madeline now leads brands through comprehensive digital transformations.

Her hands-on experience in brand development and content creation, coupled with an innate eye for design, ensures every client receives both creative excellence and strategic precision. When she's not crafting compelling campaigns, you'll find Madeline logging miles on her marathon training routes or cheering on the Chiefs!

Tiffany Shinn

Writer & Editor

Tiffany Shinn is a writer/editor from the Bay Area. A graduate from USC’s Film and Television Production program, Tiffany’s writing caught the eye of Prentice Penny (INSECURE, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), who selected her as part of the inaugural class of his First Up Writing Fellowship. She has also worked for Hulu, HBOMax, Annapurna Pictures, Legendary Entertainment, A3 Artists’ Agency, and in the writers’ room on an Amazon show.

Most recently, she worked on a sports documentary film. A lover of chocolate croissants and cara cara oranges, a June Cancer, and an eldest daughter, Tiffany infuses her work with warmth, heart, and a lot of humor.

Elias Ginsberg

Elias Ginsberg is a Los Angeles-based Director of Photography and an alumnus of the USC School of Cinematic Arts Film and Television Production program. Elias was the recipient of the 2020 ASC Student Heritage Undergraduate Award- one of the most prestigious awards a young cinematographer can receive.

In 2022, Elias began teaching Cinematography as an Adjunct Professor at his alma mater, one of the youngest faculty members to be hired.When not working, Elias can usually be found mixing cocktails and cooking dinner for his friends, driving well out of his way for the perfect breakfast burrito, wasting away on the lake with his fishing pole, trying to beat his dad’s golf game or holed up in a coffee shop with a book.

Graham Byers

Director of Photography

Graham Byers, a Los Angeles-based cinematographer who strives to tell stories that ignite social change and give voice to the voiceless. Growing up in Vermont, Graham has a great appreciation for nature and environmental protection and has worked under the mentorship/leadership of nature time-lapse pioneer and award-winning nature filmmaker, Louie Schwartzberg, on his Netflix feature film Fantastic Fungi (2019).

Committed to character-driven cinematography, Graham prioritizes natural light and authentic settings to immerse audiences in compelling narratives. His approach emphasizes empathy, using visual storytelling to give voice to the voiceless while creating profound connections between viewers and characters.

JT Garcia

Photographer

JT Garcia discovered his passion for photography while capturing wildlife on his family's South Texas ranch. Specializing in portraits, headshots, and event photography, he brings a unique perspective to visual storytelling that transforms ordinary moments into compelling images.

His professional portfolio spans artist and corporate headshots, graduation sessions, and event documentation. JT's approach goes beyond mere photography – he aims to reveal the authentic essence of each subject, creating images that resonate with genuine emotion and professional polish.

Hannah Ackles

Editor

A USC Film and Television Production graduate, Hannah is a dynamic storyteller committed to creating compelling narratives that explore human connection and identity. Her creative work focuses on amplifying LGBTQ+ and disability representation across media platforms, with her queer fantasy short SPARKS FLY earning recognition as a finalist at USC's Feminist Media Festival.

Hannah produces high-quality video assets for industry leaders like Amazon MGM Studios and Searchlight Pictures. She is an active member of USC's Women of Cinematic Arts Alumni Writer's Workshop and Women in Animation's Writing for TV Animation mentorship circle.
